Operation Christmas Child

MACC is once again participating in Operation Christmas Child. Each child or groups of children in 4E can buy a shoebox and fill it with gifts for an underprivileged child overseas. Watching the videos of the children receiving their gifts can put a smile on anyone's face.

Buy a Shoebox from the College for $9.50

The money includes the postage of the box to the country where the child lives.

Girl or Boy?

Decide whether you will pack a shoebox for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14.

Fill with Gifts

We recommend you include something from each of the 6 categories -something to love, something to wear, something for school, something for personal hygiene, something special, something to play with.
Go to the link to find specific examples of what to buy - http://www.samaritanspurse.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Shoebox-Gift-Ideas.pdf

Pray

Pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.

Find a Drop-Off Point

Bring it back to the College so it can be collected.

Science

We have started this term with lots of interesting topics to explore. In Science we are looking at plants. Last week we started to grow bean seeds. As you can see from the photo they are progressing well. We are recording the growth by observation and measurement and seeing lots of change.

Well done to Ryley for achieving a credit in the NSW University Science Competition.

Mathematics Award

Congratulations to Alex, Josh, Sienna and Josh for achieving the Mathematics Award at the assembly today.

Science Experiment

We had a lot of fun today experimenting with dry ice. In this experiment we made bubbles using dish washing liquid and carbon dioxide. As you can see we were very excited.
