Genius Hour #3

The last part of our Genius Hour saw some excellent projects by Paiten, Holly and Eliana. Paiten gave a very good explaination on how to make a candle look like a coke bottle. The candle was so realistic I thought it was a real coke bottle. Eliana told us about the importance of bees and Holly made some beautiful lip balm.

Genius Hour #2

The second part of our Genius Hour saw some outstanding presentations. I am so proud of 4E and the amazing effort they have put in to their projects.

Stuart mastered shape and motion tweening while learning animation. Brianna showed us how to make lip balm. Nathanael learned to cook a delicious chocolate cake which we were all able to taste. Joshua G. folded 751 paper triangles and fitted them together to make a 3D dragon. Emily showed her creative side and made a melted crayon picture. Logan demonstrated a science experiment that was a substance that is both liquid and solid. Josh C. used Arduino to create a game. Josh S. told us all about Pacman and showed us how to play it. Michaela told us how we can save energy,

Genius Hour

We have had the first round of Genius Hour presentations. Everyone put in a great effort and presented some interesting information or made something special.

Lots of students opted to learn coding using a programming site called scratch. They made their own games that were very successful.

Alex showed us how to make a glow lamp and Charlotte used glow lamps to make an aurora. Sian made soap, Victoria made lip balm, Sienna made a no sew tutu and Ryley learned how to cook delicious brownies. Amy was intrigued to know why we forget things and gave a very good explanation.
Stay tuned for round two on Thursday.
